“Zayed Book” honors the winners today at the “Louvre”

The Sheikh Zayed Book Prize at the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, honors the winners of its 16th session today, at the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

The award was won by the Emirati “Literature Branch” Maysoon Saqr, for her book “Café Feathers.. Eye on Egypt”, while the Syrian Maria Daadoush won the award in the “Children’s and Youth Literature” branch, for her book “The Crystal Ball Puzzle”, while Dr. Muhammad Al-Maztouri won the prize, from Tunisia, within the “Young Author” section, for his book “Badawa in ancient Arabic poetry”. Dr. Ahmed El-Adawy from Egypt won the award for the “Translation” branch. While the Moroccan Mohamed El Dahi won the prize in the branch of “Arts and Critical Studies” for his book “The narrator and the soul twin: from acting to syntax”. The “Arabic Culture in Other Languages” branch award was won by Dr. Mohsen Jassem Al-Mousawi for his book: “The Arabian Nights in Contemporary World Cultures: Global Commodities, Translation, and Cultural Industrialization,” while that the award-winning branch was for “Edition and Cultural Techniques” at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. As for the title of Cultural Personality of the Year, it was awarded to Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghadami, in honor of a long career of generosity.
