A woman who caught her ex of three years texting other women over Christmas has taken a simple but powerful revenge.

Using a £15 gift voucher, Jade Butters bought dozens of tubes of colorful glitter which she sprinkled all over her ex-boyfriend’s house and belongings.

The 23-year-old filmed herself performing the act last month after claiming to find messages and photos to other girls on her Apple Watch.

In the clip, you can see the nursery nurse pouring glitter into everything from washing up liquid, shoes, laundry drying, a pot of money, a bottle of lube and a model engine.

And she didn’t stop there — Jade even filled her socks, clothes pockets, and toothpaste with sparkles.

Jade, from Durham, County Durham, said: ‘We received a £15 Amazon voucher from work for Christmas.

‘I spent all the voucher for 82 tubes of glitter. I know how really boring glitter can get, and I just thought it would be a really good idea to scatter it around her house.

“So in the end, work gave me the gift of revenge for Christmas.

“At first I thought I would be grown up and taller, but after I did, I felt so proud. I can’t help but smile when I think about it.

“I didn’t mean to do anything that would be criminal damage or hurt anyone’s feelings, it’s just a harmless prank.”

She took the opportunity to get revenge as she collected his things from his house while he was at work.

Jade said: ‘I still had a key so we agreed I would go and collect my things while he was at work so I took the opportunity to do so.

‘I put it in the washing up liquid, the lye on top of his toothpaste so that when he goes to brush his teeth it all falls out, in the washing machine drawer and in all his pockets.

“I thought about putting him in the toilet. I put him in his bedding, for him to fall over when he strips the bed. It’s going to haunt him for years.

“When I left the house didn’t look like it had been hit, so he wouldn’t have noticed at first, but he will when he goes to wash or brush his teeth.”

Jade claims to have found messages to other women on her boyfriend’s Apple Watch in December. As soon as she confronted him, her now ex confessed and she broke up with him on the spot.

“The first two years were really nice and light,” Jade said. “It was a good relationship, we did things together and were really in love.

“A few weeks before Christmas, I was on his Apple Watch looking for games because I thought I was getting one and messages popped up, but I thought they were just from a game server.

“It was playing in my head so I went back to check and saw he was messaging other girls and sending pictures.

“I just said, ‘I quit and I’m going’. I couldn’t stand it.

“I was disgusted and devastated, I just couldn’t understand why he was doing this.

“It was just before Christmas and we were ready to start a new year, then I found this.”

After sharing the video of her glitter binge on TikTok, others commented saying they were inspired.

Jade says the last she heard from her ex was when he texted about the prank weeks later.

Jade said: “He messaged that he kinda liked the glitter but then called it a ‘c*** move’.

‘I think the ‘c*** movement’ sends messages to other girls. I haven’t heard much from him since.

‘Many people [in my work group chat] said how bad it was, and a few girls said they were going to do it.
