OAKLAND (CBS SF) – All lanes from the westbound I-580 connection ramp to I-80 in Oakland reopened Tuesday night after a closure due to an investigation into a freeway shooting and an accident, according to CHP.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the connector was cut while authorities investigated a shooting at around 4:30 p.m. One person was hospitalized.

A Sigalert was issued at 5:01 p.m. with an orderly snap closure of the connector as the investigation continued.

At around 7:43 a.m., the connector was finally reopened, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The duration of the incident was two hours and 43 minutes. Drivers are advised to expect residual delays.
