University volunteer documents COVID testing regime in Xi’an as city remains stranded

Regimented COVID-19 testing continued across Xi'an, China on Tuesday, January 4, as the city entered its thirteenth day of lockdown.  Images filmed by a volunteer with the Emergency Response Command Team at Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, who said they were taken early Tuesday morning, show the campus nucleic acid testing process.  The Shaanxi provincial government said 4,988,100 people had been tested by noon on Tuesday after a total of 1,758 confirmed cases were reported between December 9 and January 3.
