UK government apologizes to Queen for holidays ahead of Prince’s funeral

Boris Johnson has faced a slew of allegations over lockdown-breaking parties at his Downing Street office and residence

The British government issued an apology to Queen Elizabeth II on Friday, after revelations that Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s staff breached coronavirus restrictions by partying ahead of Prince Philip’s funeral.

Prince Philip’s funeral at Windsor Castle was limited to just 30 guests due to government Covid rules, forcing the Queen to sit alone in a pew to grieve.
