Two people have been airlifted to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on the Kings Highway. Emergency services were called to the scene in Manar, 26km east of Braidwood at 5pm on Friday. Upon arrival, Monaro Police District officers learned that a blue sedan traveling west had veered across the road and collided with a light truck and utility towing a trailer ahead a tractor-trailer, also traveling east, hits the trailer. The passenger in the utility, a 57-year-old woman, suffered serious leg injuries and was also trapped for a short time before being airlifted to hospital in Liverpool in a stable condition. The 58-year-old man, driver of the utility, was slightly injured. The light truck driver, a 54-year-old man, and the tractor-trailer driver, a 38-year-old man, were not injured. It will be reviewed by the accident investigation unit. The motorway remains closed in both directions with traffic diversions in place at Goulburn Road, Bungendore for eastbound traffic, and Nerriga Road, Braidwood, for westbound traffic. Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision or information about the accident to contact them. The accident is the third on the Kings Highway in two days. A 51-year-old man died at the scene of a three-vehicle collision in Mulloon, east of Bungendore, on Thursday. Emergency services responded at 12.15pm to reports that a Mazda sedan and a truck had made an impact, before the sedan and an Audi SUV collided head-on. A man and a woman in the Audi were slightly injured. Just after 6pm on Thursday, emergency services were called to a single vehicle accident, east of the Goulburn Road intersection on the Kings Highway. Mulloon RFS reported shortly after that the driver got out of the vehicle but debris was in the road. The highway remained open but under traffic control.
