Tribute marked on the beach for an Irish woman killed while running

A tribute to an Irish girl killed on the afternoon of Wednesday January 12 was marked in the sand of a beach in County Kerry on Friday. “RIP Ashling Murphy. She was going to run,” it read. The tribute was created by local sand artist Mario Perez. Irish public broadcaster RTE News reported that Murphy, a 23-year-old teacher, was doing some driving along a popular canal road in Tullamore, County Offaly, on Wednesday when she was attacked and killed. The attack happened around 4pm, police said. Credit : Maureen O Mahony via Storyful
