Saudi Arabia’s April consumer price index rose 2.3 percent: government data

Saudi Arabia’s consumer price index rose 2.3 percent from a year earlier in April, driven by higher transport, food and beverage prices, government data showed on Sunday.

Transportation prices rose 4.6 percent, while food and beverage prices increased 4.3 percent, the data showed.

Compared to March 2022, consumer prices rose 0.4 percent, the Saudi General Statistics Authority said in a statement.
