Queensland registers 6,781 new COVID cases

Queensland has recorded 6,781 new cases of coronavirus out of 29,000 tests.

“Of course, we know the real number is significantly higher than that,” Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. John Gerrard said.

“Because a lot of people have mild symptoms that haven’t tried to be tested. Some people have RAT tests that they do at home and some people have difficulty taking tests and we are very aware of that.

There are 265 cases in state hospitals.
