Pedestrian dies in hospital after collision in Scarborough

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was killed in a crash in Scarborough on Thursday afternoon.

Toronto Police responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision in the area of ​​Warden Avenue and Comstock Road, around 3:10 p.m.

Police said a 38-year-old man was standing on the southwest corner of the intersection when a red 2012 Lexus was heading north on Warden Avenue and attempting to turn left onto Comstock Road.

A silver 2009 Kia was also traveling south on Warden Avenue and entered the intersection striking the red Lexus, police said.

The Kia then lost control and veered off the road striking the pedestrian, according to police.

Initial reports said the man was possibly trapped under the vehicle before being rescued.

The man was transported to the hospital via emergency rush but was pronounced dead at the hospital.
