Paul Heyman references Vince McMahon’s retirement on WWE RAW

Wise Man to the Tribal Chief Paul Heyman has apparently referenced Vince McMahon’s departure from WWE on Monday Night RAW.

This week’s edition of the red show kicked off with a match between Logan Paul and The Miz, followed by an in-ring promo from The Bloodline. Roman Reigns, flanked by The Usos and Paul Heyman, entered to a thunderous applause, which grew louder when The Tribal Chief took the microphone. Reigns asked the WWE Universe to acknowledge him, then decided that he no longer wanted to talk.

The WWE Undisputed Universal Champion then passed the microphone to Paul Heyman, who began his own introduction. As Heyman spoke, the microphone cut off and he continued to do so every time Heyman uttered a word. This upset the Sage, who commented to the New York crowd that the sound operator must be from New Jersey.

Heyman then stated that he wanted the sound operator’s name and mentioned that he would be the next to leave WWE. This was probably a subtle reference to Vince McMahon’s departure on Friday.

“We want your name, you’re the next one out,” Heyman said.

It will be interesting to see how WWE handles McMahon’s departure going forward. You can read more about the former CEO by clicking here.
