Florida woman Paola Miranda-Rosa has been missing since Dec. 18 after visiting a state park north of Orlando.

Her last contact with her family was on December 17, when she had lunch with her mother and uncle.

Swimming filmed in the river by hikers

On January 5, police announced Ms Miranda-Rosa had been identified by her family in video footage taken by hikers showing her swimming and wading in a river on the day she went missing from state park of Wekiwa Springs.

The 31-year-old can also be seen in two photos taken by the hikers that day.

The research effort

The sheriff’s office said it plans to search four and a half miles of the river around the area where Ms Miranda-Rosa was seen, using photographic equipment that “has the ability to see in areas difficult to see. access that cannot be explored by standard diving equipment ”.

For three days last month, more than 150 law enforcement officers searched the park using planes, drones, boats, divers, sleuths and volunteers on horseback.
