Man linked to woman shot at Midlothian bar wanted by police

MIDLOTHIAN, Ill. – A Chicago man is wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 19-year-old Midlothian woman.

Jamil R. Hayes, 25, faces charges of first degree murder and attempted murder following a verbal altercation turned physical on October 31.

Authorities said Hayes allegedly flew into a rage while speaking with the victim, identified as Morgan Brown, allegedly whipped one victim with a gun, then shot them both dead. He fled in a gray Nissan Altima.

Hayes, whose whereabouts are unknown, was charged in November and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Hayes has ties to Rockford, Dekalb and Elgin, Illinois.
