Lake George, Long Lake, Keene Valley take the lead

GLENS FALLS, NY (NEWS10) – While events like the ongoing Lake George Winterfest keep the North Country alive, a look further into the Adirondacks will reveal some events unique to this Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend. .. On Saturday, it’s Long Lake’s turn to shine.

The 20th annual Long Lake Winter Carnival is on Saturday, bringing ice sculptures and winter fun to a snowy weekend. Mountaineers also have something special in store, with this year’s Mountainfest taking place in Keene Valley all weekend. The 25th Annual Mountainfest is a chance for mountaineers and athletes to share stories and skills.

It will be fresh. Forecasts see highs of 30 degrees on Friday dropping into the single digits on Saturday and into the teens on Sunday as a snowstorm sweeps across the United States. Lake George Winter Party

Mountain Festival 2022

LARAC: perched in paradise

Night on snowshoes under the full moon
