Six days before the election, the Liberal Party “launched” its campaign in Brisbane, one last chance for Scott Morrison, trailing in the polls, to get a much-needed boost.

After a campaign that relied heavily on attacks on Labour, Morrison attempted to defy criticism of his government for being “policy light” with a series of new ads. Here are some of the key points:

Super reinvest in housing

First-time homebuyers will be able to invest up to 40% of their retirement, up to a maximum of $50,000, to help purchase a property.
