The Oscar-winning actress will star in the fourth season of HBO’s anthology crime series, according to the hollywood reporter.
Noble True Detective: North Country, the season focuses on the six men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station in Ennis, Alaska. “To crack the case, Detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro will have to confront the darkness within,” according to HBO, “and delve into the haunted truths that lie buried beneath the eternal ice.”
Foster will play Danvers, while Navarro’s role has yet to be cast.
isa lopezwho is co-writing the series, celebrated Foster’s casting on Twitter. “He’s out. Dreams do come true,” Lopez wrote. “Nightmares too. I can’t wait for you all to see what weird cold mysteries we’re cooking up.”
The series marks Foster’s first recurring television role since appearing in three episodes of gun smoke from 1969 to 1972. He first appeared on the show when he was just 7 years old. Foster made her debut in the television series in Mayberry RFDa spin-off of The Andy Griffith Showin 1968. His first episode aired the day before his sixth birthday.
