Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet announce shocking split

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet shocked fans on Wednesday, announcing that they were “separating from the wedding.” the Aquaman star, 42, and Bonet, 54, have been together since 2005 and married four years ago. They share two children.

Momoa shared a joint statement on social media, writing, “We have all felt the pressure and changes of these transformative times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is no exception… our family news as we go our separate ways in the marriage.”

Bonet, who has no social media, was previously married to Lenny Kravitz. They share their 33-year-old daughter Zoë Kravitz and have all been a very close extended family. Bonet and Momoa’s children are 14 and 13 years old.

Momoa was in love with Bonet even before they met.

“Look, it was more than [love at first sight]. Ever since I was 8 and seen her on TV, I’d been like, ‘Mom, I want this one,’ “the actor told James Corden years ago.” I was like, ‘Mum, I want this one,’ “I’m going to stalk you for the rest of my life, and I’m going to have you. I’m a stalker in my own right.”

They eventually met through mutual friends at a jazz club.

“I literally turned around and I see her and she says, you know, ‘I’m Lisa,'” he recalls. “I turned to my friend and I was like ‘ahhh! “I had f ****** fireworks that went off inside the man.”

The longtime couple secretly married in October 2017.

Momoa noted that it was quite an accomplishment to marry the actress.

“If someone says something isn’t possible,” Momoa added, “I’m like, ‘Look here, I married Lisa Bonet. Anything is fucking possible.'”
