The Israeli army announced the murder of two Israeli officers while on guard near a camp in the Jordan Valley by friendly fire.

IDF spokesman Avichai Adraei said in a tweet on Twitter: “Two Israeli officers were killed on guard duty tonight near a camp in the Jordan Valley as a result of friendly fire (exchange of fire due to an incorrect diagnosis) two families have been informed and the investigation is underway into the circumstances of the accident.
