Hurstville Pop-Up Park Event Postponed | County Chief of St George and Sutherland

Georges River Council has postponed its Pop-up Park to the Palm Court parking lot in Hurstville, which was due to take place this weekend.

The pop-up park was part of the council’s Summer Street program and was to include a free circus school, a giant garden game, bridge checks and tropical foliage.

The Summer Streets program aims to revive downtown Kogarah and Hurstville and give a boost to businesses, cultural groups, and the entertainment and hospitality industries hit hard by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Made possible by the NSW Government’s “Festival of Place Open Streets”, the Summer Streets program aims to boost the local economy and create jobs.

The free event was scheduled to take place from Friday January 14 through Sunday January 16.
