Grand Bend stabbing victim dies at hospital



Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged three people in connection with a stabbing incident in Grand Bend.

OPP, Lambton Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Anishinabek Police Service (APS) Kettle Point responded to an assault in a parking lot on Huron Street at approximately 10:00 p.m. Friday.

EMS transported the victim, 27-year-old Zacharey Hartman, from Exeter, to hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Perth County OPP then arrested three people following tips on a suspicious vehicle from Lambton County officers.

An 18-year-old and 22-year-old, both from Stratford, have been charged with second-degree murder, while a 21-year-old from West Perth faces the charge of accessory after the fact.

All three have been detained pending a bail hearing.
