Garcelle Beauvais criticizes Whoopi Goldberg as ‘shame-worthy’

In her new memoir, Garcelle recalls Whoopi’s “embarrassing” behavior on set, saying she was surprised at how “cranky” Whoopi was with the show’s crew.

“I was shocked and horrified to see how testy Whoopi was with the show’s producers,” he said. RHOBH star writes “He was embarrassed and disappointed, to say the least. He was embarrassing!”

Garcelle was an up-and-coming model-turned-actress at the time and was eager to jump at the chance to work for one of the most respected talk shows on the air.

“Here I was the new and enthusiastic girl in the class, and I was confronted with the reality of an unattractive workplace,” she wrote, describing her interactions with Whoopi and Rosie.

Garcelle also recalled how “cold” and “unfriendly” the environment was in the view went, adding that “no one” spoke to him or gave him any comment or advice after his performances.

“The energy was cold and hostile and distant,” Garcelle recalled. “The environment was so opposite to my friendly nature and definitely not what I expected or hoped for.”

In fact, Garcelle recalled a time when host Rosie actually kicked her leg under the table during one segment, calling it a “shut-up-the-pbb-tch, you’re-talking-too-much” signal kick. !”

“What kind of system is that where grown women kick each other around like fucking mules? Was this a new type of morse code or something? GTFOOH!” Garcelle assured.

Ultimately, Garcelle, who was a co-host for some time, decided the show wasn’t right for her. But she has since reconciled with Whoopi, collaborating on a Lifetime movie together. Garcelle even let Whoopi know that she was including her time in the view in his book.

Speaking with Page Six on Tuesday, May 3, Garcelle explained why she wanted to include this particular story in Love me as I am.

“Why it happened! I’m not making this up, you know what I mean? he said she while attending RHOBH co-star Sutton Strake Cashmere & Caviar Party. “If these stories happened and they are my memories, then I am talking about that. It was unfortunate because I am still a big fan and even still filming the show.”

“Of course, I broached it with Whoopi. She didn’t remember,” Garcelle told the outlet. “But I told her because she didn’t want to get into the movie. [Lifetime’s 2022 Caught in His Web] as if he was cheating on her. It’s not for me. So, it was important for her to know that she was in my book. We are all fine now.

Now that the RHOBH another star concert, talk show The realhas been cancelled, Garcelle would love a show of her own where she can talk to “real” people and not just celebrities.

“That’s what I want more than anything: late at night, during the day, anything,” he said. “I would bring my authenticity, my realism and also my curiosity about people. I love talking to people, and not just celebrities. Celebrities, we already know a little about what they are like. I want to speak with real people.”

Love me as I am is already in bookstores, and season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premieres Wednesday, May 11 at 8 pm EST on Bravo.
