MANILA, May 23/WAM/ At least seven people were killed today in a fire on a Philippine high-speed ferry carrying 134 people, while seven passengers are still missing, according to the Philippine Coast Guard.
The coast guard said the ferry caught fire before reaching the port of Real in Quezon province, about 60 kilometers east of the capital Manila.
It added in a statement that five women and two men were killed, while 120 passengers were rescued, 23 of whom were injured.
