Chelsea beat London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 with a goal from defender Antonio Rudiger in the first half, to complete their 3-0 win in the League Cup semi-final on Wednesday.
Chelsea were leading 2-0 in the first leg at Stamford Bridge last week, and Rudiger made it difficult for Tottenham when he turned a Mason Mount corner into the net in the 18th minute.
Tottenham struggled to correct the course but were unlucky as two penalties were waived in the first and second half after the video assistant referee system intervened.
Harry Kane’s goal was also ruled out for offside after further intervention by the video referee.
Chelsea, who face Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday, will seek their sixth League Cup title against either Liverpool or Arsenal in the final.
Liverpool host Arsenal in Thursday’s semi-final first leg.
