Betty White – the legendary actress, comedian and avid animal lover – would have turned 100 on Monday. His death in late December inspired an outpouring of local tributes, with several Philadelphia venues hosting parties in his honor.

Animal welfare organizations are also eagerly awaiting the date, because of the #BettyWhiteChallenge. The nationwide campaign launched by White’s fans is encouraging donations and adoptions from shelters and rescues on his 100th birthday. Locally, ACCT Philly, the PSPCA, Morris Animal Sanctuary, and PAWS all participate.

After giving, where can you celebrate? Golden Girl Dating takes place all over town, from an afternoon drag show to nightly drinks and trivia.
