Can’t decide what to have for breakfast, lunch and tea?
Torn between two Aussie favourites: Baked Beans or Vegemite Toast?
Well, worry no more because SPC has released a strange new combo that brings the two together.
In an Aussie-first, Vegemite will be added to cans of baked beans.
Yes, you read it right.
But the newcomer doesn’t look as unhealthy as he seems, racking up a good four-star health rating.
According to an SPC press release, the meal is a “strong source of protein, excellent source of fiber and contains no artificial flavors.”
It is also said that each can has more than four servings of vegetables.
SPC marketing manager George Dimkin said partnering with Vegemite to get creative was an “exciting milestone”.
“We are expanding the range of baked beans available, which is sure to give Australians a reason to fall in love with baked beans all over again,” said Mr Dimkin.
“Although we build on the iconic flavor of Vegemite, that rich classic SPC flavor remains completely blue, creating the ideal Australian blend that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch and tea.”
Vegemite marketing manager Jacqui Roth said Australians loved eating Vegemite with baked beans on toast and it was a “no-brainer” to partner with SPC to deliver the products.

“Now Australians can get their beloved Vegemite baked beans in a convenient can,” he said.
“Simply heat and eat them for the perfect healthy snack. We can’t wait to see how Australians respond to this flavor combination made in heaven.”
The combo has landed on some supermarket shelves across the country and can be purchased for around $1.70 a can.
And if you want to buy in bulk, you only have to shell out $5 for four cans.
