One person has been arrested on suspicion of killing a guard at the Qatari embassy in Paris, police said.
The newspaper the parisian reported the death on Monday, citing police sources.
The Paris prosecutor’s office has launched a criminal investigation into the murder.
“I can confirm that an investigation into the murder charge was opened today,” the prosecutor’s statement said in a statement.
“The circumstances of the guard’s death have not yet been precisely determined,” he added.
The Qatari embassy, which is in the capital’s 8th district, was not immediately available for comment.
