An ephemeral dinner presents a new Tex-Mex restaurant soon available at Lou

St. Louis will be opening a new fajita and margarita restaurant in late February, according to a spokesperson for the restaurant. But, you don’t have to sit next to your calendar, marking the days it opens, you can just head over to Bluewood Brewery (1821 Cherokee Street) this weekend for an ephemeral dinner to taste the menu.

Arzola’s Fajitas and Margaritas is slated to open later this winter at 2730 McNair Avenue, but is hosting a pop-up at the brewery to overcome the wait of impatient St. Louisians. The events take place tonight January 7 and tomorrow January 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

the Tacos Fajita 6th Street – named after Austin, Texas’ historic street and entertainment district – are served in flour tortillas with pickled radishes, queso cotija, and fresh pico. Steak, chicken and sweet potato fajitas will be served with roasted salsa verde and smoked and spicy salsa morita for $ 3 each.

COVID-19 protocols will be in place during the pop-up: Guests must wear masks when not seated, eating or drinking, and employees wear masks at all times. Tables are spaced out to allow social distancing and hand hygiene stations are available throughout the brewery.

There are no plans for future pop-ups at this time, according to a press release, but the restaurant has “made random giveaways and giveaways” with its Queso Club VIPS, with a future giveaway announced in the communicated.
