A 3-year-old in Denver is in critical condition after accidentally shooting themselves Sunday evening, according to police.
The incident occurred around 5:20 pm Sunday in a vehicle in the 1700 block of South Pecos Street, Denver police tweeted.
“…it appears the shooting was accidental and self-inflicted,” police wrote.
There have been no arrests in relation to the shooting, authorities said.
The incident marks at least the second time in a week that a child in Colorado has accidentally fired a weapon on themselves.
A 6-year-old boy in Fort Collins last week died after shooting himself by mistake, police said.
